CBI ARRESTS TWO PUBLIC SERVANTS INCLUDING DESPATCH OFFICER OF CCL’S AMRAPALI PROJECT, IN A CASE RELATED TO ACCEPTANCE OF RS. 50,000/- BRIBE

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two accused including a Despatch Officer and a Clerk, Grade-III of Amrapali Project CCL, Chatra Jharkhand in a case related to acceptance of   Rs.50,000/- bribe from the complainant.

      CBI registered a case on a complaint against Despatch Officer, Amrapali Project, CCL Chatra, Jharkhand on allegations that accused demanded a bribe of Rs.91,000/- for allowing lifting of coal against DO No. 1002 & 1003 from CCL Amrapali Project, Chatra.

      CBI laid a trap and caught the said Clerk, Grade-III while accepting  part  bribe amount of Rs 50,000/- from the complainant at the instance of the accused Despatch Officer, who was also caught during the  trap proceedings.

      Searches were conducted at the premises of the accused and certain documents have been recovered.

       Both accused will be produced in the Court today.

       Investigation is continuing.
