Assam govt staff to get revised pay from April


Guwahati: Around 4.20 lakh employees of Assam government will be paid revised salary with effect from April 1 next with the state Cabinet giving its nod to the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission. The Commission constituted by the State Government in 2015 submitted its report in November, 2016. The Pay Commission, headed by former State Chief Secretary PP Verma, recommended between 14.61 per cent and 18.69 per cent hike in the basic salaries of the grade III and IV employees of the State Government.
